Mental Health: Mind Matters toolkit

Open October 5, 2024 through January 20, 2025

Mental Health: Mind Matters returns to the Science Museum of Minnesota in the fall of 2024 to invite visitors to explore the complex landscape of the mind. In this exhibit, unravel the layers of mental health, using empathy and understanding to analyze the specific challenges and triumphs associated with mental well-being.

Featuring a breadth of diverse perspectives and personal narratives, Mental Health: Mind Matters creates an open space for transparent conversations about mental health. The National Alliance on Mental Illness estimates that 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year. Yet, misunderstanding and stigmatization of mental illness often leads to lack of treatment and needless suffering. That makes mental health a personal, social, and economic issue.

Mental Health: Mind Matters is a great resource for groups, providing a welcoming space to build a greater understanding of mental health together. To visit the exhibit with your group, learn more at https://new.smm.org/groups.
