Room charges and food and beverage minimums
Food and beverage minimums and room rental charges are based on the size of the room booked. We can accommodate groups ranging from 10 guests to a maximum of 1200 guests.

Each event also has a minimum charge for food and beverage. If you cannot meet the food and beverage minimum designated for the room you have booked, an additional charge will be applied to your final invoice.

What staffing is included in my event?
Your event fees include the staff required to host your event. The Science Museum reserves the right to require security on any event serving alcoholic beverages. In addition, there may be charges for media tech staff and other staff needs including additional security and staff after normal museum operating hours.

What equipment is available for use during my event?
Audiovisual supplies are available through the Science Museum. All charges will be added to the customer's account. Any additional audiovisual equipment or tables that the Science Museum does not own will be rented at an additional cost. To ensure availability of audiovisual equipment without an additional charge, 48 hours notice is required. If you require a tech staff during your event or have an AV set-up that requires specific support, there will be an additional charge for that support. Your sales staff can help you determine how much AV support you might need.

Are there any restrictions on decorations?
Clients are responsible for the distribution and collection of all materials and decorations provided by the client. All decorations need to be pre-approved by the museum's facility sales department and Lancer Catering. Please note that birdseed, glitter, rice, and confetti may not be used. Ceiling draping is contracted only through Lancer Catering.
