Youth Science Day an annual event
that showcases the inspiring work of the Science Museum's Kitty Andersen
Youth Science Center (KAYSC), is coming up! On Thursday, July 19, you're invited to join us in celebrating science careers in the
making! In addition, this year will also feature a job fair event for young
people ages 15-25 we are calling Vocation Vibes.
Vocation Vibes is a special feature created exclusively for high school to
young adult-aged individuals who are interested in career opportunities in
STEM fields. Vocation Vibes will take place from 3-5 p.m. at the Science
Museum of Minnesota.
- Each attendee will receive a free LinkedIn photo
- Job leads and information about STEM jobs! STEM employers will present
tables with information about job offerings at their organization; plus
information on skills needed for these jobs
- 15-minute workshops offered on relevant topics to secure STEM jobs
— You can also take advantage of free rides via Metro Transit or receive a free
parking voucher if you park in the Science Museum ramp
- The opportunity to network with other STEM professionals during our
Happy Hour Celebration following Vocation Vibes at 5-6 p.m.
- Finally, you will receive a free entry ticket to the Science Museum of
Minnesota exhibits
Examples of companies that will be represented at Vocation Vibes include
Andersen Windows, 3M, Barr, Construct*ium, McGough, Ryan Companies, and the
Science Museum of Minnesota.
There is no cost to attend, and all are welcome!
