Youth Science Day (YSD) is an annual event uplifting youth through career development and cultivation of curiosity, interest and agency in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Explore the exciting world of STEM, meet youth from the KAYSC and other youth organizations and see the work they do to improve our communities through STEM!

The theme for YSD 2020 is our Climate Crisis. YSD 2020’s exhibitors and programming will honor the young people who continue to step up, advocate and innovate to address this global crisis.

STEM Justice Challenge

Calling all artists, scientists, and innovators ages 14-25 who are passionate about climate justice! Here’s your chance to envision solutions to our climate crisis through artwork. Enter the second annual STEM Justice Challenge hosted by the Kitty Andersen Youth Science Center (KAYSC) for a chance to win $500 and recognition at the Science Museum of Minnesota’s Youth Science Day!

Explore the Museum

12pm-3pm | Exhibit Hall | Museum Admission Required
Visit YSD exhibitors throughout the museum.
Access to exhibits and exhibitor booths included with Science Museum admission.

STEM Justice Youth Summit

3:30pm-7pm | Level 4 Discovery Hall | Free (RSVP Required)
Join us for the inaugural STEM Justice Youth Summit! Young people ages 16-25 are invited to attend. Attendees will learn more about the KAYSC, network with young professionals, and learn about how we can address our Climate Crisis.
RSVP required, Science Museum admission is not required.
