Omnitheater

On Thursday, October 17, the Science Museum of Minnesota’s Omnitheater will debut its brand new digital laser projection system with the opening of Superpower Dogs. The new system will allow for even better contrast, brightness, clarity, and color – features that viewers have come to expect in the Omnitheater. It will also open the Omnitheater up to a new inventory of digital film content. Henry

Superpower Dogs, the first all-digital feature in the newly-renovated William L. McKnight-3M Omnitheater at the Science Museum of Minnesota, introduces viewers to six working dogs whose skills and courage impact lives around the world. Henry is a Border Collie who works as an avalanche rescue dog with his handler, Ian Bunbury, at Whistler Mountain in British Colombia. Superpower Dogs opens in the Omnitheater on Thursday, October 17.

Reef

Superpower Dogs, the first all-digital feature in the newly-renovated William L. McKnight-3M Omnitheater at the Science Museum of Minnesota, introduces viewers to six working dogs whose skills and courage impact lives around the world. Reef is a Newfoundland who works with her partner, Commandante Ferruccio Pilenga as a water rescue dog near her home in Milan, Italy. Superpower Dogs opens in the Omnitheater on Thursday, October 17.

Ricochet

Superpower Dogs, the first all-digital feature in the newly-renovated William L. Ricochet is a Golden Retriever who works as an emotional support dog, using her ability to make deep connections to empower and improve the quality of life for individuals with physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities. Superpower Dogs opens in the Omnitheater on Thursday, October 17.

Tony and Tipper

Superpower Dogs, the first all-digital feature in the newly-renovated William L. McKnight-3M Omnitheater at the Science Museum of Minnesota, introduces viewers to six working dogs whose skills and courage impact lives around the world. Twin Bloodhounds Tony and Tipper patrol the savannah and towns around Northern and Mount Kenya, aiding in the arrest of more than 40 poachers and many other criminals, including cattle raiders. Superpower Dogs opens in the Omnitheater on Thursday, October 17.

Preschool Party

On Wednesday, October 9, the Science Museum will host its next Preschool Party, where visitors will find activities designed especially for the youngest scientists – and no large big kid groups! Spooky Science

On Thursday, October 24, the Science Museum of Minnesota will conclude its Social Science 21+ event series with Social Science: Spooky Science. Visitors will be invited to grab a drink and unleash their inner werewolf, vampire, or zombie, haunting their way through the museum with special activities, stargazing, a chance to meet local scientists, and more.
