Object ID Day

Saturday, October 5

Noon - 4 p.m.

Have you found a natural or archaeological object and would like more information about its identity? Come get a professional opinion and engage in fun activities that will sharpen your own identification skills!

At our Object ID Day event, you’ll meet experts in the fields of biology, paleontology, geology, and North American archaeology. They’ll take a look at up to three items from each visitor – please, no live plants or animals or any materials from birds. Pictures are okay and encouraged!

While we can’t authenticate or appraise any objects, our experts will give you their best educated guesses about the identification of your items, and they’ll answer your questions about their fields!

Included in museum admission.
