Playing With Time

Playing With Time takes visitors on a journey to the unseen world of natural change and shows events that happen too fast or too slow for humans to perceive. An interactive Time Lab allows visitors to use strobe lights, high-speed cameras, and other tools to freeze or expand a moment in time. Other displays explain change in living organisms, Earth processes, and outer space. Visitors can scroll through billions of years of plate tectonics on a digital map, or move in synch with timelapse film of sprouting plants. Artworks explore the aesthetic side of time and change.
