Ecosystems

The Science Museum of Minnesota worked with the California Science Center to develop and produce interactive and interpretive exhibits for their 33,000-square-foot Ecosystems. The exhibit fuses interactive science exhibits with the live habitats of zoos, aquariums, and botanical gardens. Divided into eight thematic environments, the exhibit includes interactive components, interpretive graphics, computer, video and camera kiosks, and listening and observation stations. These allow visitors to use science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and the observation of live specimens to appreciate nature and to understand that, in every ecosystem, the same fundamental ecological principles connect and shape the physical and living worlds.

Ecosystems received an Exhibit Award - Significant Achievement at the 2012 Association of Zoos and Aquariums annual conference.
