Dinosaurs and Fossils Gallery

The permanent Dinosaurs and Fossils Gallery displays an impressive variety of authentic fossil material, including articulated skeletons of Triceratops, Diplodocus, Stegosaurus, and other dinosaurs and prehistoric animals. Trained gallery staff and volunteer interpreters interact directly with visitors, answering their questions and encouraging discussions about past life. Exhibits in the 11,000-square-foot gallery are updated to reflect the ongoing research of the Science Museum's paleontology department. For example, a recent addition depicts the 60-million-year-old Wannagan Creek site in the badlands of North Dakota, considered one of the most complete and diverse paleoecological sites in the world.
