Junior Girl Scouts

Junior Girl ScoutsLooking for a unique way to complete Junior Girl Scout badges? The Lee and Rose Warner Nature Center has developed badge programs specifically designed to meet Junior Girl Scout badge requirements. As a special bonus, the girls will actually receive their badge at the end of the course! This is a wonderful opportunity to earn badges in a fun and creative way! Classes are just $120 per troop for an intense 3-hour day program which includes a badge ceremony at the end of the day. Troops of 15 or more pay just $8.00 per girl.

Many troops just want to come out to Warner for the unique experiences we can offer. In addition to the badge programs mentioned below, we also offer snowshoeing, maple syruping, orienteering, winter tracking, aquatic ecology, stargazing, canoeing, camping, raptor programs and more.

All of these programs are set up for your group on a custom basis. Please call us with a few possible dates you would like to visit us and we'll check the availability of staff and building space. Contact our Outreach Coordinator Kirk Mona at or (651) 433-2427 ext. 13 to reserve dates. We look forward to having you here!

Small Craft & Water Fun (One day, 2 badges!)
Incredible deal. Earn two badges in one day! We'll spend the morning learning how to canoe on a gorgeous lake and in the afternoon we'll learn about the aquatic life that keeps the lake's ecosystem healthy. (This course is $18) Either of these can be done as stand-alone three hour programs as well.

Finding Your Way
Have you ever wanted to learn how to use a compass? We'll do that and more! We'll learn how to read maps and find our way in the woods. We'll try our hand at making our own maps too.

Frosty Fun
Learning to snowshoe is the highlight of this program. We'll also learn how to dress for the winter and always stay warm. We'll investigate snowflakes, track animals in the snow, and learn about the dangers of hypothermia.
