Join the fun! Warner Nature Center has developed five Tiger Cub programs. This is a wonderful opportunity to help your boys explore the natural world while learning some of the nature based lessons that carry through into older scouting opportunities.
Dens with fewer than 15 kids pay a flat rate of just $75 for a 1.5-hour program. Dens with more than 15 kids pay just $5.00 per child.
Programs vary by season and are set up for your group on a custom basis. Please call us with a few possible dates you would like to visit us and we'll check the availability of staff and building space. Contact our Outreach Coordinator Kirk Mona at or (651) 433-2427 ext. 13 for more information or to book a program.
Sleepytime Animals (Autumn)
How do all those animals survive the winter? Explore how animals get ready for winter while making crafts and watching a puppet show. We'll end our sleepytime together with a fall hike.
Winter Brrrds (Winter)
Who fluffs up downy feathers to stay warm in the winter? Birds, of course! Learn which Minnesota birds stay around all year and their special tricks for surviving the cold. Make treats for our bird friends, then enjoy a winter hike.
Track Detectives (Winter)
Calling all detectives! Investigate which forest animals stay active in the winter by learning to identify tracks. Enjoy a variety of track activities including decorating a t-shirt. We'll wrap up by hiking (weather permitting). Please bring along a shirt or other cloth item to decorate.
Springtime Surprises (Spring)
Celebrate springtime at Warner! We'll create a Father's or Mother's Day surprise while making our very own handmade recycled paper. We'll learn about different springtime babies in the Warner woods and enjoy a forest hike.
Whooo Goes There? (All Seasons)
Discover all about owls and their special adaptations while you investigating their mysteries at learning stations. You'll create a unique owl of your own, and even get to meet the live barred owl who lives at the nature center! Dress for a hike as well.
