Canoeing
Canoe Lake Terrapin! A two-hour paddle costs $120 per group and includes canoe rental, personal flotation devices, basic canoe instruction, and naturalist interpretation. (Groups over 12 persons pay an additional $10 per participant.) When's your turn? Our canoe programs are booked on a custom basis. Call our Outreach Coordinator Kirk Mona at or (651) 433-2427 ext. 13 for availability of dates and be sure to ask about moonlight canoeing! Canoe the St. Croix River! Let Warner Nature Center show you how! Our naturalists have been guiding canoe trips on the St. Croix for years and would love to share the tradition with you. The St. Croix is protected by the federal government and was the first river to be designated as a Wild and Scenic river. We'll set out from the nature center first thing in the morning and canoe out on the St Croix. We'll learn a little about the history of the river and stop for lunch in an idyllic spot. After lunch we'll head downstream though the mysterious backwaters of the river where we've often spotted eagles, osprey, raccoons and songbirds. The cost of the trip includes transportation to the river from Warner Nature Center, canoe rental, personal flotation devices, basic canoe instruction, naturalist interpretation, and transportation back to Warner. Age restrictions may apply based on group composition. $300 per group (Groups over 8 people pay an additional $37.50 per person.) Be sure to ask how to make your trip on the St. Croix an overnight camping adventure! Contact our Outreach Coordinator Kirk Mona at or (651) 433-2427 ext. 13 for availability of dates and more detailed trip information. |
