Pioneer Life & Games
Week 3: July 6-8, 2009 (Monday-Wednesday only)
Cost: $100 Friends of Warner / Science Museum members; $110 nonmembers
Pioneers came to the land that is now Warner Nature Center over 100 years ago. They worked hard to make a living, but also made sure to mix in plenty of fun. Before video games and television, children made their own toys and created games that would teach them skills they would need as adults. We will spend this three-day camp learning about life as a pioneer, including preparing food, tools and other necessities for living off the land as pioneers. Snacks will be part of the fun as we make old-fashioned treats. We'll also travel back through time and explore the two WNC farmsteads. CLASS IS CANCELED.
Digital Nature Photography

You’ll also get to take home a CD burned with all of the images you took during the week. This class will teach the basics of how to become a polished nature photographer. Class size is limited to 8.
