Join us in inspiring future generations of innovators and explorers!
Whether they're bringing science to life through activities and experiments, or welcoming hundreds of students and chaperones during school visits, our 1,400 volunteers at the Science Museum of Minnesota are essential to our success. Volunteers range in age from 13 to 93 and bring their curiosity, lifelong learning and desire to teach and invest in future generations to all facets of the museum. Volunteers staff the information booth, work behind the scenes, organize special events, greet school groups and provide interpretive services in exhibit halls.
Trainings are required and provided for all volunteers. The minimum commitment is one four-hour shift every other weekend or one four-hour shift on a weekday.
