Teacher Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Master teacher (5+ years of classroom instruction)
• Basic computer access and knowledge – not afraid to use with students
• Administrative support in participation

Commitment To:

• project based instruction and learning
• experimenting with new technologies in classroom and sharing findings with the cohort
• integrating technology in new ways into instruction
• creating a new professional development model for colleagues and pre-service teachers

Participate in:

• “studio sessions”
• online forum
• network meetings at the Science Museum of Minnesota
• Peer classroom observation
• Dissemination workshop
• Develop new lessons and project ideas that integrate technology
• Observe Cedar Park Institute June 23-27

Availability:

• June 2008- March 2009
• Commitment of 32 hours
• June-August 2008 for summer planning workshop 10 hrs
• September-December 2008 for initial implementation 15 hrs
• January-March 2009 participate in dissemination workshop 7 hrs
