Opinons on the current site

Hi all it looks like we can go back to our old theme on the website...
I'm wondering if you have opinions whether or not you'd like to go back or continue to use this website theme - we will be sharing the site with our funders for an upcoming meeting - to show the thoughts, ideas, questions and resources that you've been posting to the site - and I want to be sure that if you'd like it to stay as is that you let me know to keep it as it is before I show your work to others...

By Goerge, I think it will work- resistors vs. graphite

Shorty after our time together at the Science House I went out to Radio Shack and bought a 500 piece variety bundle of resistors. Cost for the bundle was about $13.00. I used the sensor watcher and sure enough they are a lot easier than trying to get the graphite just right.

Picoboard and Scratch dropin

Thank you for coming over to the Science House last evening. We hope this gave you a chance to play with the Picoboards a bit more and meet other teachers interested in Scratch. The folks who run the Science House were very happy to see you all. ( and if you or you district have a membership, remember that you can access the materials and resources to check out M-F)

We talked about a couple things with the Picoboard:

SCRATCH Projects with 4th Grade Students

Wow...I'm totally impressed with the projects that the 4th grade students created with SCRATCH.  I'm also excited about all of the ideas that are being created to integrate SCRATCH into curriculum!  For this project we took the 4 corners idea using MN history.  The 4th grade students had to share information about MN history in the four corners.  We then started thinking about a tour guide to take the audience around to their sprites and share some information.  Check out our SCRATCH site here and view the student examples!  I'm learning so much from the students!

Scratch project

This video game design class is a hit!  We had over 50+ students register for this class so it is very popular!  I am learning SO much and having fun designing with these computer savvy students!  I apologize for not posting this sooner- I've had password issues and a student has had my jump drive to transfer his project to school from home- Yikes! I won't do that again!

Our new blog look...

Hello all, Molly noticed the new look of our blog. The system we use to make the blog uses themes, and something happened to that theme recently that made it so we couldn't see the blogs. So we have an interim theme. The blog should work just fine - let me know if you have any problems.

new blog? I like it!

So how long did it take me to notice the new blog style?  I like it...easier to read and follow!
