Spreading the word,too and Kid to Kid sharing

This last weekend I spent a few hours sharing Scratch with teachers in a technology certificate program. The teachers came from the east metro area districts. Of the 22 people, 7 chose to come learn a little about Scratch. After a very short intro they were off and running. They were generating lots of questions and ideas. I shared the info about the Scratch sessions at the SMM, also.

One of the people in the class was , Craig. We are working together on a class to class sharing between Stillwater and my classroom. After throwing some ideas around we decided to start with my kids showing the other classroom how to get started with the program on our first meeting on November 20. We both hope that we will be able to use Scratch as part of the exchanges. I even suggested that the 6th grade investigate using Scratch in their exchange also. We will see.
