Meet the Teachers

Maijue Xiong Lochungvu has been a 4th grade teacher at Galtier Science, Math, and Technology Magnet School in St. Paul since 1998. After ten years in the classroom, she will transition into a new position in the fall of 2008 as Galtier's Technology Coach where she will help classroom teachers with technology integration.

Amy McManus received her BSE from Drake University in Des Moines Iowa. She received her Master’s in Education from the University of Minnesota. Amy has 24 years of teaching experience. She began her career teaching first and second grade. Presently she is the Technology Coordinator for Carondelet Catholic School, in Minneapolis and teaches computers to the 3rd through 8th grades.

Lyne Motylinski is an elementary teacher at Galtier Science, Mathematics, and Technology Magnet School in Saint Paul Public Schools. Using technology with children has been a focus in her career over the years through projects such as writing Internet curriculum, using Micro Worlds and Scratch to creating podcasts with her 3rd grade class.

Molly Schroeder is an Elementary Technology Integration Specialist for Edina Public Schools. Her background is in elementary education as she taught 4th and 5th grade for 9 years. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College and earned her Masters at the College of St. Catherine. She also holds a certificate in Educational Technology and Gifted Education. In June 2008 she became Minnesota’s first Google Certified Teacher.

Kent Sall is has been the Technology Coordinator at Museum Magnet School for the past ten years teaching technology to students in grades K-6.  He holds an Art Ed degree from the University of Minnesota. He is working on his masters degree in technology at Hamline University.  Kent has been teaching using Scratch for the past three years and loves teaching it to the kindergarten students. Prior to that he used its predecessor MicroWorlds. 

Jamie Holtz teaches at Cedar Park Elementary STEM Schoolin Apple Valley, Minnesota. She earned her bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato and completed her master's degree from Saint Mary's University. Currently, Jamie is working to obtain her K-12 administrative license from Hamline University. Jamie is passionate about integrating technology into the learning process for children and adults.
