In tonight's meeting we talked about how I had created classroom accounts for the teachers so that the kids could all post to one place and a teacher could link to the classroom SCRATCH site from their classroom web page. Some of the tricks that I used are to have a classroom login name...I usually use the last name and the word class, for example schroederclass and then I give a password, usually the school name. This way the kids all upload and share their projects to the same account so the teacher can have all the classroom projects in one place. This can be a bit dangero

Before winter break I had the opportunity to observe Amy at her school just a few blocks away from my office! It was so great to just step inside another school to see what life was like in another world. Amy also teaches older students so it was great to be surrounded by students older than I am used to. Okay, so my next project is to work with a group of 5th grade students to create an interactive map of their book...Island of the Blue Dolphins. So each of the kids are going to draw their own island as the stage and then they are required to create four interactive features on their island. The interactive features would be things that related to the book...about the characters, setting, plot or major events. Creating the interactive map with information for each sprite would be part one...but then I wanted to expand the project so that kids could make this interactive map a
