Superior vena cava

The superior vena cava is known to be one of the two great veins.

The superior vena cava takes deowygenated blood from the upper body (ex. head, neck , chest, etc..) and brings it to the right atrium.

Inferior vena cava (not pictured)

The inferior vena cava is known as the other great vein.

Its job is to take deoxygenated blood from the lower part of the body (ex. legs and abdomen) and carry it to the right atrium.
