Mother and daughter from Sydney, Australia

My daughter is doing an assignment on the Monarch Butterfly.  
We live in Sydney Australia and I can't find any information 
on the web about this beautiful butterfly's habits in Australia 
and New Zealand.

I myself come from New Zealand and know that they frequent 
Auckland over summer.

Can anyone help me?
