New Assignment
Visit Hosmer School (pg2)

Last night I went home with Mrs. Fitzpatrick. Her uncle owns the house
where the poem Over the River and Through the Woods was written. 
She sat me in the window that overlooks the view that inspired the 
author. She used my camera to take a photo so I will remember it.
The weather has been cooperating! Springtime is very pretty here in 
Massachusetts. Spring flowers are in bloom, trees are budding and 
there are many shades of green, yellow and pink everywhere!

Subject: update from frankie

Hi Karen!
I am having a great time.  Last night I went home 
with Mrs. Fitzpatrick.  Her husband, who is a 
Natick police officer, took me to the station.  
I got to wear the sargent's badge and drive 
the cruiser!  

They took lots of pictures of me.  I will send them 
along as soon as they are developed. Mrs. Fitzpatrick 
typed a two page journal of my experience last night.

Although my trip to the station was very exciting 
I have to say my trip to the funeral home was the 
best.  You see, Mrs. F's uncle owns it. The exciting 
thing about it is that it was where the poem Over 
the River and Through the Woods was written.  
I got to sit in the window that overlooks the 
Charles River.  The view from that very window 
is what inspired the author!  

Ms. King is going to try to find a copy of the book 
for me.  This morning I got to join the teachers 
for their very special Friday morning coffee  
mmmmmmm.....!!!
