THE INTERFACE BETWEEN RESEARCH AND INTERPRETATION
Dale Cox, National Park Service, St. Croix National Scenic Riverway
When available, information and data generated from research projects in the St. Croix Watershed are readily integrated into a variety of programs and media developed by the National Park Service to better facilitate public understanding of the resource's significance. Access to, and complete understanding of, data by Riverway personnel is critically important to accurately relating current research and theories to a diverse audience. Park Rangers Jean Van Tatenhove and Dale Cox will present examples of how research is incorporated into the interpretive program, how researchers can provide key assistance to the Interpretive Division, and opportunities to cooperatively expand research and public awareness.
