A native of Michigan with a B.A. in history from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Sharon has worked in publications and public relations for a number of non-profits, museums and historical centers. As Assistant Director, Sharon oversees all administrative and programming operations at the research station. These include finance and operations, communications and outreach, programming and special events, and development. She writes and edits the station's newsletter, Field Notes, plans the annual St. Croix River Research Rendezvous, organizes special events for the Friends of the St. Croix Watershed Research Station, and developed the Artist at Pine Needles residency program.
