The focal point of the SCWRS is the 6,200 square foot Harmon Research Center. Completed in 1994, this facility houses five state-of-the-art laboratories, including the 1,000 square foot analytical lab, a sediment-dating lab, gamma spectrometry radioisotope tracer lab, wet lab, and microscopy lab. Other components of the research station include the J.W.G. Dunn Research Library, the TAPwaters office for watershed modeling and spatial analysis, conference and meeting rooms, administrative and office space, equipment storage, and a heated garage. The building is fully networked to a cross-platform LAN with high-speed Internet access.
