Space Explorer: Can you guess what your age and weight would be in space? Explore the universe by making a constellation dial, a model rocket and a solar system pin that you can put on your scout uniform. Learn about women astronauts who contributed to space exploration.

Senses: Do you know what five senses are? Discover five senses that send messages to your brain about the world around you. You will test your nose, make big ears to hear better, map your tongue, and guess what kinds of objects in a bag without seeing them. And play fun group games to experiment everyone's senses.

Science Wonder: Is it science or magic? Learn about what things are pulled to magnets and why, how to create static electricity by using different objects. You make your own crystal and observe it under microscope. You will take a special crystal recipe home and grow the edible rock candy.

Science in Action: Discover science in your life. Play with dry ice, inflate a balloon without using your breath, and create your own underwater world by mixing three different liquids in a test tube. Learn how one color separate into different colors and try lighting a candle in mysterious way.
Workshop Fees
$14 per child, 2 adults come free for every 8 children; $7 for each additional adult. (Fee includes same day exhibit hall admission for the group, a museum presenter, and all the materials necessary for a 90-minutes workshop. Badges are not included).
To make a Scout reservation
Workshops are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We require a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 25 children to schedule a program. We encourage partnering with other groups to take a workshop together.
Payment must be received within two weeks from the day the reservation is made. Cancellations: To receive a refund, do so at least two weeks prior to the workshop. A $25 cancellation fee will be deducted.
