Developing STEM Leaders: An Institute for Classroom Teachers
June 9-13, 2008 at Winona State University
Faculty: Science Museum of Minnesota Professional Development Team in partnership with Winona State University Faculty
Participant Eligibility: For grades 3-6 Generalists from Winona Area Public Schools and surrounding districts
Selection Criteria: Preference will be given to teachers applying as teams from the same building and teachers who are serving in full-time positions.
The institute will focus on science and math teaching and learning, culturally relevant science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) teaching, and site-based teacher leadership. The Science Museum professional development staff and Winona State University Faculty will collaborate to present this week-long professional development institute for Winona-area teachers.
There is no charge for this institute. Lunch and additional materials are included. Institute participation will be limited to 25 people. Stipend or graduate credit options available.
