ALL Students Can Learn STEM:
A Leadership Seminar for Administrators

Tuesday March 19, 2013
9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Location: Science Museum of Minnesota's Science House

The Science Museum of Minnesota's Teacher Professional Development Group is offering a hands-on professional development seminar that provides K-12 principals and other district administrators with a research-based conceptual framework to address inequities in STEM education based on race, ethnicity, and class and support the transformation of school and district culture. This initial 3-hour interactive executive seminar will explore the integration of STEM investigations with access and equity by focusing on conceptions of intelligence of adults and students and how these influence STEM learning. Implications for these ideas will be addressed through a leadership lens. The seminar will include an orientation to Science House. All materials as well as light breakfast are provided. The seminar is provided at no cost to participants.
