International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum Workshop

The IB continuum workshop is an intensive 3-day summer workshop that will enhance STEM teaching and learning for each and every student within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programmes.

In the institute, the Teacher Professional Development Group at Science House and the Minnesota Association of IB World Schools integrate the trans-disciplinary themes from the Primary Years Programme (PYP), global contexts from the Middle Years (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) and the Science House Framework for Equity and Access in STEM Education.

The Framework, developed by Science House with support from the National Science Foundation, is organized around disparities and inequities; pedagogy and curriculum; the trans-disciplinary nature of STEM; the role of student, teacher, and community identity; and community leadership.

Both the Framework and IB support the high level of involvement on the part of students to develop concepts through inquiry.

Applications will be available in March 2015. Questions? Please contact us at (651) 221-2566 or
