Summer opportunities for professional development are right around the corner. This summer, we have several opportunities for everyone from classroom teachers to principals to district leaders. We are currently accepting applications.

Access, Equity, and Transdisciplinary Learning in STEM: An Institute for K-12 Teachers

Join the Teacher Professional Development Group at Science House for an intensive 5-day institute, July 6-10, 2015, that will enhance STEM teaching and learning for all your students. This institute is organized around the PAGE Framework for Access and Equity in STEM Education and is appropriate for IB teachers, teachers at STEM magnet schools, and all other educators committed to access and equity in our schools and classrooms.

Benefits include:

  • 30 hours of professional development designed specifically for STEM educators in schools and districts with diverse student populations;
  • Training in a repertoire of proven Framework-based strategies and teaching mindsets that address issues of access and equity in STEM classrooms;
  • Networking with other instructors from our national community of educators.

The institute fee is $1,500 per participant. Consumable materials, textbooks, personal journals, light breakfast, and lunch are included.
