The benefits of Science Museum membership extend beyond the museum. In addition to great deals when you visit the museum, members receive discounts from local cultural organizations.

Museum Discounts

Members receive a 10% discount on purchases in the Explore Store. Most classes for adults, families, and children also offer special members-only discounts.

Other Organization Discounts

Bell Museum of Natural History offers $5 off individual or household memberships to the Bell Museum. Just show your membership card at the box office. The Bell Museum is on the Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota at the southwest corner of 17th Avenue/Church Street and University Avenue SE. Call for more information, (612) 624-7083.

Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum offers $5 off Individual or Dual level membership and $10 off Sustainer or above membership. Call the Weisman Membership Office at (612) 626-5302.

Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth offers Science Museum members free child admission with paid adult or senior admission, a 10% discount at Otter Outfitters, the GLA gift shop and FREE parking! For more information, call (218) 740-3474.

Intermedia Arts extends $5 off an Individual ($35) or Household ($50) membership to Science Museum members. Call (612) 874-2819 and mention you are a Science Museum member.

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum offers $5 off a new individual or family membership. For more information, call (952) 443-1400. The Arboretum is the largest public garden in the Upper Midwest with more than 1,000 acres to enjoy in all seasons.

Stages Theatre Company offers Science Museum members $2 OFF a child's ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket at the regular ticket price (limited to one per family). Valid for Stages Theatre Company's 2007-2008 season. Call (952) 979-1111 to purchase tickets and mention you are a Science Museum member. Please present your membership card at the box office when picking tickets up. (Not valid on previously purchased tickets. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Walker Art Center offers a $5 discount on Walker Individual, Dual/Household, or Friend level memberships. To receive this discount, call the Walker Membership Office at (612) 375-7655.

The Works offers Science Museum members $5 off family memberships. This hands-on museum, located in Edina, brings science, engineering, and mathematics to life for young people ages 5 to 15. The Works is open to the public every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please present your membership card or identify yourself as a Science Museum member to receive the discount.

Your Benefits Travel

Science Museum membership cards grant free admission to more than 200 museums worldwide through the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) Passport Program. Special exhibits, planetariums, or theaters may not be included. To find a museum near your travel destination, visit the ASTC website.
