Museum Discounts

Members receive a 10% discount on purchases in the Explore Store. Most classes for adults, families, and children also offer special members-only discounts.

Holiday shopping season has arrived, and the Science Museum's Explore Store is equipped to provide you with unique gifts for everyone on your shopping list. And what's more, as a member, you qualify for even more savings in December!

• Find the 2010 version of the Freshwater Society's Minnesota Weatherguide Environment Calendar, one of the Explore Store's top sellers.
• Take in our selection of microscopes and kaleidoscopes, or explore the 3D Mirascope, which uses mirrored optics to create hologram images that appear to be floating.

Bell Museum of Natural History offers Science Museum members a 20% discount on Bell Museum admission or $5 off an individual or household level membership to the Bell Museum. Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum offers $5 off Individual or Dual level membership and $10 off Sustainer or above membership. Call the Weisman Membership Office at (612) 626-5302.

Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth offers Science Museum members $5 off the purchase of a membership or $2 off tickets to the Great Lakes Aquarium just by showing your Science Museum membership card! For more information, call (218) 740-3474.

Minnesota Children's Museum offers Science Museum members $2 off single admissions (does not apply to events), or $10 off a Passport family membership. Not valid with any other offer or on previously purchased tickets. Must show valid Science Museum of Minnesota membership card. Expiration date: December 31, 2009.

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum offers $5 off a new individual or family membership. For more information, call (952) 443-1400. The Arboretum is the largest public garden in the Upper Midwest with more than 1,000 acres to enjoy in all seasons.

Stages Theatre Company offers Science Museum of Minnesota members a free child's ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket at the regular ticket price. Please present your membership card at the box office when picking up tickets. Stages Theatre Company produces professional theatrical productions for children and families. SteppingStone Theatre offers Science Museum members $2 off each admission to any weekend performance at SteppingStone Theatre. Must show your current Science Museum membership card to receive discount. Not valid with other offers or discounts or for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! Offer expires August 2, 2010. Regular Prices: $9 children/seniors, $11 adults.

Walker Art Center offers Science Museum members a $5 discount on any basic level membership, or a $2 discount on single admission tickets. Ticket offer valid only for gallery admission. To receive this discount membership rate, please call the Walker Membership Office at (612) 375-7655.

The Works offers Science Museum members $5 off family memberships. This hands-on museum, located in Edina, brings science, engineering, and mathematics to life for young people ages 5 to 15. The Works is open to the public every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please present your membership card or identify yourself as a Science Museum member to receive the discount.

Your Benefits Travel

Science Museum membership cards grant free admission to more than 200 museums worldwide through the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) Passport Program. Special exhibits, planetariums, or theaters may not be included. To find a museum near your travel destination, visit the ASTC website.
