• The museum has special rates for teachers and chaperones depending on ratio. (There can be no fewer than one chaperone for every 10 students.) Please ask when you call to make your reservation.

Mystery of the Maya Omnitheater film

Take a journey back in time with the explorers who unearthed this majestic ancient civilization in the jungles of Central America in the early 19th century. Filmed on location at sacred sites throughout the Maya regions, it features re-enactments of the archaeological expeditions that undercovered what we know about the Maya and showcases some of the their most remarkable achievements in mathematics, writing, astronomy and calendrics. Dig into the story of the Maya and wonder at the vastness and grandeur of their once-hidden ancient cities in a movie experience that only the Omnitheater can provide.
