The LTC currently supports teachers and their use of technology in their classroom through a variety of programs.
Innovative Teaching with Technology is a project to support the development of best practices and integration in the classroom. Professional Development workshops for teachers interested in learning creative technologies and exploring ways of integrating them into their curriculum (funded by Best Buy Children’s Foundation and Qwest) are also a focus of the project.
Drop In Scratch Support sessions in collaboration with the Teacher Resource Center and Science House. These sessions provide an introduction to Scratch for those new to the community and troubleshooting, support, and lesson ideas to veteran users. A classroom set of 30 PICOBoards (formerly Scratch Boards) is also now available for check out.
Save the date: May 16th is Scratch Dayat the Science Museum of Minnesota. LTC invites Scratch users from around the Twin Cities to share in an international Day of Scratch on May 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be workshop sessions and activities for everyone, including sessions for those new to Scratch, Scratchrs, and Scratch Masters.
