Teachers & Schools

A range of professional development workshops for teachers and enrichment classes for students are available. Programs can also be custom designed to meet the interests and needs of you and your classroom. For more information please call (651) 221-4513.

The Learning Technologies Center currently supports teachers and their use of technology in their classroom through a variety of programs.

Drop In Scratch Support sessions in collaboration with Science House: A Resource Center for Educators. These sessions provide an introduction to Scratch for those new to the community and troubleshooting, support, and lesson ideas to veteran users. A classroom set of 30 PICOBoards (formerly Scratch Boards) as well as 12 Lego WeDo introductory robotics kits are available for check out.

Innovative Teaching with Technology is a project to support the development of best practices and integration in the classroom. Professional Development workshops for teachers interested in learning creative technologies and exploring ways of integrating them into their curriculum (funded by Best Buy Children's Foundation and Qwest) are also a focus of the project.
