Learning Technologies staff are working with Scratch, a new computer programming language you can use to make animations, music, interactive stories, simulations and art!




Our first Scratch Family Camp-In! Come and join us for a family night of Scratch! Scratch is a fun programming software that enables you to create your own video games, animations, and interactive stories.

  • We worked with the STEM school Cedar Park Elementary school this summer (2009) introducing and integrating Scratch in to classroom curriculum planning. Here's a gallery of some participant and example projects.

Libraries:

  • Learning Technologies Center is partnering with The Hennepin County Library (HCL) system. The HCL was recently awarded an Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) grant to research and explore rich media creation programming in libraries. We will be sharing resources created from this grant with the out-of School and After-School educational organizations.

The Innovative Teaching With Technology project website. We worked with local Minneapolis and St. Paul K-12 teachers on integrating Scratch into the classroom and developing best practices. Thanks to the Best Buy Children's Foundation for support of this project.
