On The Media this week

On The Media from WNYC had two stories this week which I thought were interesting and tie into some of the work we do. The first is about internet addition, but they interview some folks in South Korea about what public schools there are doing to prepare students for life on the internet. The second is their reaction to the introduction of the iPad and its future as our "fifth screen" which would tie together all of our other screens into one device. They interview Jonathan Zittrain, author of The Future of the Internet and How to Stop It (which can be downloaded free under a CC license). He has some interesting thoughts about Apple's control over what can run on their appliances, and how this might hinder creativity/new uses of their hardware.
