Claymation Character Armiture
Wednesday night Ryan showed six LTC teachers how to make a simple reposition-able
armature for a claymation character. First challenge was making the drill chuck tight enough to hold the wire to twist it into a stronger? material. Then the six character sitting around the table got down to business making there own. We learned that large heads need a light materials inside, all modeling clay heads are too heavy to stand. Our thought that magnets might work to hold the character up didn't. Need the bolts to hold the armature steady. Asia's dog/cow? did better on four legs. The modeling clay had nice colors as you can see from the pictures, and was easy to manipulate. This will be a fun class. you can see more pictures on the Picasa Web gallery.
