These are the videos of the interviews from the SMILE first workshop.
We taped SMM staff: Keith, Janet Groenert and Robby Callahan-Schreiber talking about using the SMILE beta search that was seeded with a few sound-based activities for our first workshop.
Asia taped keith introducing SMILE with SMILE powerpoint and discussion.. this will be posted as well, and Keith taped Robby and Janet using the SMILE beta site. ( Janet and Keith were using the site the moment the thumnails were added!)
We thought we'd get 8-10 participants. We got two. But Robby and Janet were wonderful.
- Asia practiced with Keith on setting up the interviews, technically with sound and camera, and with the interview process - the questions and staging.
- This was used as prep for Maker-Faire video taping
- With each interview I tried to create three lengths: very short 0-2 minutes max, slightly longer 2-4 minutes, and finally a long video 5- 10 minutes
