Virtual Genie Class, July 17-21 2006

Our class focused on the exploration of new ideas and skills (programming and engineering) through a mixture of science, technology and creativity. We learned about computer programming (The Scratch program is based on the LOGO programming language) and by making our own electrical sensors, made real connections to the physical world.

Scratch is being developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten research group at the MIT Media Lab, in collaboration with KIDS research group at the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies.

Scratch will be available for download later this Fall ( 2006)
