Group Stop-Motion Animations

We explored the basics of both Stop-Motion and Vector animations on the computer in this class. In the group projects below, we used digital video cameras to capture a series of still frames. They were then strung together at 15 frames per second to give the illusion of motion (stop-motion animation)

You must have the QuickTime 5 plugin (or later) for Windows or Macintosh to view these movies. You can download the QuickTime 5 plugin for free at Apple's QuickTime site.

Individual Flash Animations

Next we explored path based animations using Flash. We began by drawing simple faces and animating the mouth to a recorded voice and then moved into more complex subjects: motion tweens, shape tweens, masking, movement along a path.

You must have the Flash 5 plugin (or later) for Windows or Macintosh to view these movies. You can download the Flash 5 plugin for free at Macromedia's Flash Player website.
