—> John Conway's Game of Life in which the lives and the death of cells in a grid were based on a few simple rules:

*if a cell has less than two neighbors or more than three it dies

*if a cell has two neighbors it survives

*if a cell has three neighbors it lives

—> Brian Silverman and Mitchel Resnick created a web page which is an active essay on emergence.
