Mindstorms and Sensors - June 10-14, 2002 Ages 9-12
We did two projects: an obstacle course and a chain reaction. For the obstacle course, each group built an obstacle for the course and a vehicle to travel through the course. In the chain reaction, each group built a machine that passed a ball to the next group. Pictures of our machines are below.

This is John and Paul's machine that starts the chain reaction. It plays a song and flings the ball to Sara and Caroline's machine.

In Sara and Caroline's machine, a marble in the robot's head drops through the tracks and out the shoot at the bottom. When the ball passes the light sensor, a song plays.

Amit, Nick and Andre's machine kicks the ball into the dragon's mouth. The ball rolls through the dragon into Alex and Patrick's machine.

|
Patrick and Alex's machine is a two-part conveyor belt that uses a light sensor to start the motors.

Sam, Erik and Alex made a conveyor belt that picks up the ball from Alex and Patrick's machine. When the ball hits the touch sensor at the end, a motor turns on and rings the bell.
