Learning Labs

Bring focus and fun to your field trip

Learning LabsMake your next trip to the Science Museum unforgettable by adding a Learning Lab for your class!

Learning Labs are fun, unique and interactive hands-on investigations connected to exhibit topics. Each 50-minute learning lab takes place in the museum's classrooms on level 2, facilitated by an instructor from our team of experienced science educators.

The Science Museum's Learning Labs support student learning in the Minnesota State Science, Math, and Social Studies standards. They are specifically designed with your students' educational needs in mind and support your efforts to encourage their exploration of the scientific world.

Learning Labs are available for school groups at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. or 12 p.m. They occur on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during October-November and January-May. (In May, Tuesdays also become available.) Minimum/Maximum class size: 16/32 students. Reservations are required at least 2 weeks in advance for Learning Labs. To make your reservation, fill out the Field Trip Reservation Request, email , or call (651) 221-9444 Tuesday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
