| PRE-TAX BENEFITS | |
| Eligibility | Employees regularly scheduled and working 40 hours per work week. |
| Medical Insurance | Employees may select from two medical plans. Benefits are offered in various coverage levels including single, single +1 and family. Employees may enroll their spouse, unmarried dependents (to age 25), and same or opposite sex domestic partner. |
| Dental Insurance | Offered to employees and their families. Employees may choose between single, single +1 or family levels of coverage and may enroll their spouse, unmarried dependents (to age 25) and same or opposite sex domestic partner. |
| Retirement Plan | The museum offers two opportunities to save for retirement through TIAA-CREF. Employees can participate in a 403(b) plan immediately upon hire. When eligible, employees also can participate in the museum's 401(a) plan. |
| Flexible Spending Account | Opportunity provided to set aside pre-tax dollars to cover out-of-pocket dependent care and/or medical/dental expenses. |
| SuperSaver© Bus Card | Monthly employer-subsidized bus cards, each valid for 31 days, with some restrictions. Funds also can be withheld on a post-tax basis if preferred. |
| Parking | Contract parking is available in the museum parking ramp and surrounding surface lots at employee's expense. Also can be withheld on a post-tax basis, if preferred. |
| DISABILITY BENEFITS | |
| Life and AD&D Insurance | Two times annual salary. Voluntary life is also available for employees and their dependents. |
| Short-term disability | Up to 80% of pay provided depending on length of service at the museum. |
| Long-term disability | Provided at 66 2/3% income replacement. |
| OTHER AVAILABLE BENEFITS | |
| Paid Time Off (PTO) | PTO is used for all time off, including vacation, sick time, and holidays. New employees may expect to accrue between 28 and 31 days per year depending on grade level. |
| Discounts | Employees receive a limited number of complimentary Omnitheater and Exhibit Hall Passes. Discounts available in museum stores and cafes and on classes offered by the Science Museum of Minnesota. |
| Direct Deposit | Available for most financial institutions. |
| Credit Union & Workplace Banking | Employees are eligible to join Affinity Plus Credit Union or participate in the workplace banking program through US Bank. |
| Hours | Administrative office hours are typically 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some positions related to museum operations may require evening and weekend work hours to coincide with museum hours. |

| Medical Insurance | Eligible employees can select from two medical plans. Benefits are offered in various coverage levels including single, single +1 and family. Employees may enroll their spouse, unmarried dependents (to age 25), and same or opposite sex domestic partner. |
| Dental Insurance | Offered to employees and their families. Employees may choose between single, single +1 or family levels of coverage and may enroll their spouse, unmarried dependents (to age 25) and same or opposite sex domestic partner. |
