Homeschool Science Club: Air and Wind
5-6 year olds will experiment with air pressure and make kites and other toys that use wind to move. 7-9 year olds will experiment with air pressure and make kites and other toys that use wind to move. 10-13 year olds will create a sculpture using a wind sensor and a hand-held computer that will come alive when the wind blows.
When: Friday, Jan 23; 1-4 p.m.

NEW! Homeschool Astronomy
Use hands-on activities that focus on gravity and the earth's shape and orbit. Examine the connection of the earth to the sun. Observe the moon and stars and create models that explain your observations. Evaluate data on world temperature and hours of sunlight. Attend a special telescope party one night with your family and astronomy educator Ron Schmit.

What are things made of? What makes things move? What holds things together? Discover the properties of structure and matter, the different forms of energy and how energy affects matter. Magnetism and electricity will be covered. Students will complete in-depth projects using knowledge gained.

Homeschool Genetics
An overview of the exciting area of genetics. Take a closer look at the DNA molecule and extract DNA. Conduct gel electrophoresus and investigate inherited traits and diseases. Homeschool Biology or background in cell biology required. Note: this class covers most of the same material as last year's class.

NEW! Intro To Scratch for Homeschool Families
Explore the capabilities of Scratch software. Developed at MIT to encourage digital fluency,this unique software uses a building-block approach to create stories, animations, music and art with computer programming. Users learn mathematical and computational ideas through meaningful and motivating projects. Connect with online resources that offer a growing community to share, collaborate and learn from.

NEW! Homeschool Science Club: Skin Crawlin' Science
5-6 year olds will make scary touch boxes, make an emotion recognition book, and see some creepy crawly animals. 7-9 year olds will investigate how our senses influence behavior, physiological changes that occur when we are afraid, and see some creepy crawly animals. 10-13 year olds will explore physiological responses to fear and use technology to create a galvanic skin response test.

5-6 year olds will investigate the sun's relationship to the earth and make a solar cooker and sun prints. 7-9 year old will harness solar power for work and model the sun and how it affects seasonal changes. 10-13 year olds will investigate solar power using LEGO solar cells.

NEW! Homeschool Engineering: Aerospace Engineers
An introduction to the field of aerospace engineering. Topics explored include properties of air, gravity, the atmosphere, drag and resistance. Design and test technology to be used in non-Earth environments. There are no prerequisites for this class, but it is a great follow-up to Homeschool Astronomy.
