Policies and Information

Reservations:
Advanced group reservation for 10 or more is required for all groups. Place your reservation far in advance to ensure availability. To place your reservation we would need: your group's name, your name, mailing address, phone number, date of visit, number of adults, children and seniors in your group, approximate arrival and departure times, Omnitheater title and time, and special exhibition time if applicable. Group reservations can only be made by phone at (651) 221-9444.

Confirmation:
After reserving your group you will receive a confirmation invoice for your Science Museum of Minnesota visit. Contact us immediately if anything is incorrect.

Deposit Policy:
No deposit is required.

Cancellations:
Cancellations must be made two weeks in advance of your group's visit or before final payment has been received.

Final Group Count and Final Payment:
Full payment and head count is due at least two weeks prior to your group's visit. Final payment must be in the form of one check or credit card. Refunds will not be made after tickets and/or admission wristbands have been issued. Tickets are held at the Science Museum of Minnesota Box Office for pick-up under the group leader's name. Upon request, tickets can be mailed out for an additional $5 shipping and handling fee.

Parking:
The Science Museum of Minnesota has its own attached parking ramp for cars, trucks and vans. Rates are variable ($1-$15) depending on the length of time spent in the ramp and event parking. Meter parking is also available throughout downtown Saint Paul. Motor coach and bus parking is not available on site. On-site Dining:
The Science Museum of Minnesota has two restaurants and a coffee shop on the premises. Elements Café, open 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., is located on the museum's sixth floor and seats over two hundred. They feature hot entrees, salads, sandwiches, pizza, burgers, and soups as well as sweeping views of the Mississippi River and a seasonal outdoor patio. Service is cafeteria-style, letting everyone in your group order just what they want. Chomp is located near the Dinosaurs & Fossils Gallery and features sandwiches, pizza, hot dogs and ice cream with indoor and outdoor seating available. The Java Lab, featuring Caribou Coffee, is located in the Box Office lobby with gourmet coffee and tasty treats. Box or bag lunches, food vouchers, and other options are available from Lancer Catering at (651) 292-0034, ext. 10. Private banquet and meeting rooms, accommodating up to 350 with full catering, is also available. Outside food and beverage are not permitted in Science Museum of Minnesota restaurants.

Shopping:
The Explore Store, open 10 a.m. until close, offers a wide array of unique gifts, games and science merchandise. Located in the Main Lobby, the Explore Store is sure to have something special for you to take home to remember your visit.

Museum Accessibility:
The Science Museum of Minnesota is fully accessible for visitors with physical disabilities. Wheelchairs, assistive listening devices, rear view captioning, audio description, and other aids are all available for select exhibits and films upon request.
