Paul Martin - Vice President, Exhibits

As Vice President for Exhibits Paul is responsible for directing the Science Museum of Minnesota's efforts to develop, design and produce exhibits and related science learning opportunities. These efforts focus on visitors to the museum's riverfront facility in St. Paul, users of its national touring exhibitions and partnerships with other museums and educational organizations. Over the past 30 years Paul has been involved in the evolution of exhibitions as a medium for engaging visitors in interactive learning through many innovative museum and exhibition projects. He has worked with over 50 museums and science centers and has held leadership positions with Museum Content Builders Inc., The Field Museum, Jim Henson Productions, the Minnesota Historical Society and the Science Museum of Minnesota.

Bill Maloney - Director, Traveling Exhibits Program

Mr. Maloney has been with the Science Museum of Minnesota since 1980. After many years working in the production department as fabricator, project production manager and eventually head of exhibit production, Mr. Maloney became involved in all aspects of producing and distributing traveling exhibits since the Science Museum began this effort 1985 with its Wolves and Humans tour. The Science Museum's traveling exhibits gained renown throughout the US and Canada by 1995 when Mr. Maloney was placed in charge of the program. It has since more than doubled in size from three to seven simultaneously traveling exhibitions including Hunters of the Sky (in two versions), Raise The Roof, When Crocodiles Ruled, Playing With Time and Robots and Us. Plans are in place to further expand the program with more traveling exhibits and an international presence. Under Mr. Maloney's leadership, the Science Museum's traveling exhibits program has become one of the most highly respected programs of its kind in the nation.

Joe Imholte - Director, Special Exhibits

Mr. Imholte began work at the Science Museum in 1993 as a Visitor Assistant in the museum's exhibit galleries. Over time he added responsibilities in the museum's Omnitheater as a console operator as well as the circulation manager for the GSTA publication The Big Frame. Mr. Imholte was promoted to Visitor Relations Manager in 1997 and to Operations Manager for Exhibit Galleries and 3D Laser Theater in 1999 where he developed and implemented the staffing and operations plans for the exhibit galleries in the new Science Museum of Minnesota building. In 2003 Imholte was promoted to Project Leader for Special Exhibits, where he was responsible completing contract and operational responsibilities for all incoming traveling exhibits to the museum. He received a B.L.A. in Environmental Studies and Political Science from Hamline University in 1996.

Sue Landers - Administrative Manager

Ms. Landers has been with the Science Museum of Minnesota since January of 1999. Her administrative responsibilities include labor and financial data tracking and reporting, contract administration, human resources processing and compliance, assisting division staff with purchasing and accounting procedures, addressing space and equipment needs, and functioning as the Vice President for Exhibits' primary resource in establishing and maintaining a smoothly operating work environment.

Ms. Landers has worked for over twenty-five years in corporations and institutions of education, during which she has had significant experience in project management and administration, project accounting, contract administration, teaching, multicultural and interpersonal relations, cross-cultural learning, and cultivating cooperative effort towards accomplishing major goals. Her four years of service in the U.S. Peace Corps was a period of great personal growth which continues to be a foundation for a responsive manner of working with many different people and situations. Ms. Landers has a B.A. in History and English from Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa.
