This component models the running water and sediments in a river channel and demonstrates what happens to sediment flow and sediment distribution when a channel is dammed. Dam Removal is one of a group of interactives developed in partnership with the National Center for Earth Surface Dynamics for installation in the Big Back Yard, the Science Museum's outdoor gallery and repurposed for use in Water.
