The Science Museum of Minnesota worked with the Arkansas Discovery Network to develop and produce Science & Art, a 1,500-square-foot traveling exhibit. In the exhibit visitors will consider science from a fresh point of view as they engage in unique, fun and social experiences in the exhibit. Hands on exhibits offer an introduction to the science that inspired or is embodied in the works of art displayed in the exhibit. Visitors will discover that, while science and art are very different processes, they do have much in common. As they become familiar with the five individuals who are featured in the exhibit, visitors will find that some artists must know or learn a lot about science in order to do their work, and that art can convey and help people understand scientific ideas. In the end, visitors may simply decide that it's cool to be interested and good at both art and science!
