Almost everyone has an emotional connection to place—nostalgia, awe, reverence, pride, protectiveness. The Science Museum of Minnesota is partnering with History Colorado to plan an exhibit that uses these emotions to make powerful personal connections between the past and present. Nature Matters will take visitors back and forth through time to better understand the natural and human forces that shaped the much-loved landscapes we see today. This exhibit will use the past to inform and illuminate present-day land-use debates and environmental topics. By drawing on their own feelings and memories, visitors will feel safe, secure and smart in their gallery experience.
