Social Science: Fermentational Informational is Thursday, April 11
Fill up your glass, then fill up your brain at Social Science: Fermentational Informational on Thursday, April 11 from 6-11 p.m. With wine and beer sampling from local breweries and wineries, fermentation demonstrations, music, and more, you'll put your favorite beverages under the microscope and celebrate the biology, chemistry and hand-to-mouth physics that allow these beverages to delight your senses. Hear best-selling author Mary Roach speak on her new pop-science probe due out later this month: Gulp. Omnifest 2013: May 10 - June 20
Mark your calendars for the return of Omnifest. For six short weeks we'll be screening five films on our Omnitheater's 90-foot domed screen. This year's films are Antarctica, Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees, Lewis & Clark: Great Journey West, Tornado Alley, and Wild Ocean. Members see their first film each day for free!

Earth Day/NASA Climate Day
On Saturday, April 20 from 1-4 p.m., the museum's Earth Day/NASA Climate Day event will feature hands-on activities that focus on environmental stewardship, as well as live music with Twin Cities entertainers Matt Wilson and John Munson. MPR chief meteorologist Paul Huttner will deliver a keynote address at 3 p.m.
