Join us for the 10th annual Amantes de la Ciencia, an event recognizing the vast talents and contributions of local scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and educators from the Twin Cities' Latino/a and Hispanic communities. The event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. and features stations where presenters share their knowledge, work, and personal stories with youth and families. Presenters encourage young people to study math and science, and—some day—take their places. Learn More Get involved!
Let's recognize outstanding work! If you work with Latino/a and Hispanic students on STEM projects inside or outside of school, nominate a young person or several young people for a Good Job Student Award. Winners will be recognized at the Presenters Bruch at 11 a.m. on the day of the event. Students must be in middle school or high school; they must show exceptional dedication. Only one student per nominator will be selected as a finalist. From among the first 100 names submitted, we will choose five young people to be finalists. They will be invited to demonstrate their project alongside presenters during the event. The five chosen students will each receive a one-year household membership to the museum. All 100 nominees and their families will receive free admission to the museum on April 25.
